Football Kenya Federation (FKF) says the bidding for FKF Cup sponsorship  is now open following the expiry of the five-year deal the federation signed with pay tv company Gotv in 2013.

FKF then under Sam Nyamweya handed the FKF Cup naming rights to Gotv after sealing a multi million deal with pay tv company, Gotv. in mid 2013. The deal has now expired and the federation is soliciting for another sponsor for 2018 season onwards.

FKF media liaison officer Barry Otieno has revealed that Gotv has not expressed interest in renewing the deal adding that the bidding is now open to all potential sponsors interested.

Open bidding

-Yes the deal they (Gotv) signed with the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has expired and so far they have not expressed interest in renewing. I think the bidding is open to all interested sponsors, the final was played just the other day and the federation will settle on one in the near future but for now I can say the bidding for FKF Cup is open to all, he told Futaa.com.

Leopards became the first and last team to win the FKF Cup under Gotv sponsorship.
