NSL: Costly setback for KCB as NSL nears finale

KCB have suffered a major upset in their quest for top flight promotion after being held to a 1-1 draw by St Joseph FC in Nakuru's Afraha ground.

The draw heading to league finale clash this weekend has left the team's promotion chances hanging on a thread after Ushuru, Vihiga and Wazito all registering wins in their games.

In yet another tie that KCB got an early goal eight minutes, the Bankers suffered a late heartache from Salim Muya's equalizing strike.

There was no slip for promotions rivals Ushuru who edged MOSCA 1-0 while Eric Odhiambo inspired Wazito to a 2-0 win over Black Stars.

Amos Kigadi was among the scorers as Vihiga resisted Bidco 3-1 in Thika.

The results leaves the Bankers at fourth three point behind Vihiga and Wazito, who are in second and third respectively from 77 points.
