Olunga continues search for play time as Betis, Girona play to thriller

27 Nov, 17:01

Michael Olunga was for the second consecutive game confined to the bench as Girona spurned a crucial lead late on to draw Real Betis 2-2 on Sunday Primera Division clash in Valencia.

A double from Portu including a 94th strike that had all but assured a win proved just short of guaranteeing a victory after Cristian Tello's equalised with virtually the last kick of the game.

Unbeaten in four

Portu's 45th-minute goal sent Pablo Machin's team ahead only for Andres Guardado to level matters with five minutes to time.

The visitors had an immediate response to the equaliser but got pegged back in the dying minutes.

The draw saw Girona remain unbeaten in last four games, leaving them at tenth on the log after 13 games.
