Relegated National Super League side sacks all players
Relegated National Super League side, Agro Chemicals has sent all the players packing and will begin fresh recruitment in readiness for life in the FKF Division One League.
Agro finished 18th the NSL this season with 28 points and consequently dropped to the third tier after an unsatisfactory 2017 season that saw two coaches dismissed. The team began the season under Steve Biko but the youthful tactician was replaced in midseason by Paul Ogai who dismissed two weeks before the end of the season.
A top club official speaking on condition of anonymity has confirmed that they have terminated all players' contracts and those owed will be paid their dues. He added that the team will begin to recruit freshly and those players who the club feel still have something to offer will be recalled.
-We have terminated all contracts and so as it stands Agro Chemicals Football Club doesn't have even a single player. The company invested a lot of money in this team this season and after such a bad season a have to review and we have decided to begin afresh. All players owed will have their dues settled.
-We will recruit freshly and for those players, we feel still have something to offer, we will recall them. We have to get the team back on track and we have decided to start by doing radical changes, the official told Futaac.com.
The team is currently without a coach as well.
