AFC Leopards drop Ugandan trio
AFC Leopards have confirmed that Ugandan trio of Musa Mudde, Ramadhan Yakubu and Allan Kateregga has left the club as Ingwe continues to rebuild ahead of 2018 season.
The three pave way to allow for more foreign signings with a host of players linked with a move to the den. Kateregga fell out with coach Robert Matano in August and was subsequently loaned out to Ugandan side, KCCA FC, his contract with the club expires on December 31. The attacker joined Ingwe in January 2016 from Ushuru FC.
Yakubu has been with Ingwe since January 2016 when he signed from Ugandan Premier League side, SC Victoria University. He has mostly been used as a sub during his time at the den and coach Robert Matano has now decided to show him the door.
Mudde, on the other hand, returned to AFC Leopards in June 2017 after a one year stint at Bandari but his second stint at the den has been cut short as he's not in coach Robert Matano's future plans.
Not in coach's plans
-They are not in the coach's plans and we now have to let them leave. We wish them all the best for the future, Chairman Dan Mule told Futaa.com.
Ingwe has completed five signings so far this window; Ezekiel Owade, Ezekiel Otuoma, Brian Marita, Ramadhan Kibiringo and Baker Alukoya have all joined the Matano revolution.
