Pochetino: Wanyama is doing well

He is doing well! Tottenham Hotspurs manager has confirmed that his midfielder Kenya's Victor Wanyama is making some good recovery but cannot confirm the time he will make a full return.

The Kenyan star was expected to feature prominently again this season, but suffered a knee injury back in August, and he hasn't returned since. Pochettino can't put a timeframe on his comeback but will continue assessing the former Celtic ace day by day, in the hope that he can return to training properly in the near future.

- I cannot say the time. He is doing well. We will assess day by day, week by week to see when he can join the group again and start training. Today I can’t say anything about the timing, Pochetino confirmed to HT.

Wanyama has now been out for more than three months, and Spurs are desperately missing his influence in midfield. Spurs fans have been concerned about just how long Wanyama will be out for, and ahead of Wednesday's Champions League clash with APOEL Nicosia, Pochettino has offered an update.
