Arsenal target admits Sevilla career is over
Arsenal target Steven N’zonzi has admitted he wants to quit Sevilla after a bust-up with manager Eduardo Berizzo.
The former Stoke City man was left fuming after being subbed at half-time during his side’s 3-3 Champions League draw with Liverpool last month. N’Zonzi has yet to make a matchday squad since and has now revealed he’s looking for a fresh start in January. Arsenal are believed to be keen on the Frenchman, who has a £35million release clause, with Everton also monitoring his situation.
- The coach pointed the finger at me [during the Liverpool game]. I will not repeat it, but his words affected me. The fact I was always professional despite the circumstances, that I always did my job, I found it unfair. My future is clearly away from Seville. The only thing that disappoints me is the way it has ended, said N’zonzi.
Juventus are said to be tracking N’Zonzi as well, and the 28-year-old is keeping his options open regarding a new destination.
