Immediate former KPL coach finds solace at home

Former Bandari and Tusker Fc head coach Paul Nkata has been handed a similar role at the Uganda Premier League side Uganda Revenue Authority [URA] as head tactician.

Nkata won the Kenya Premier League with the Brewers in the 2015 season before moving to the coastal side where he performed poorly leading to his sacking last month.

According to Kawowo Sports, URA fired its head coach Ibrahim Kirya and staff on Tuesday following a draw with Mbarara City at the Nelson Mandela Stadium. Nkata and his assistant Hamza Kalanzi were introduced to the players on the morning of December 20 at the Gayaza training Ground.

The Ugandan is not new to the club since serving a three-year stint before venturing outside the country. During his footballing age, 'Latest' as he is fondly referred to play as a midfielder.

He also featured prominently for the Uganda Cranes winning the CECAFA Senior Challenge cup thrice before retiring in 1991.
