Matasi, two new Gor Mahia signings to battle for yet another award

Harambee Stars goalkeeper will be up for another silverware as he has been nominated for The Magharibi Michezo Awards 2017 edition. The Gala will take place on December 23 in Bungoma town.

Matasi failed to clinch the SJAK Golden Glove after his opponent from Kariobangi Sharks Jeff Oyemba beat him to the title for clean sheets record in the concluded KPL season.

Recent Gor Mahia signings Charles Momanyi from Kakamega Homeboyz and ex Nzoia FC midfielder Lawrence Juma will battle for the Footballer of The Year Award with the Posta Rangers goalkèeper.

AFC Leopards defender Michael Kibwage and Brian Otieno of Nzoia too are also the nominees for the award.

Boniface Muchiri is also in the six member nominees.
