Arsenal and Manchester United are reportedly in a race to sign Bordeaux marksman Malcolm.
The Daily Mail has claimed that United have opened talks with the French side for the Brazilian and that the English giants are on course to beat a number of top European sides, including long-term suitors Arsenal, to landing the wonderkid.
Malcolm has quickly established himself as one of the most promising young prospects in football today, having scored seven goals and assisted another four in 16 starts for Bordeaux this season. The former Corinthians ace has become a regular in the Girondins starting XI despite joining them less than two years ago.
The up-and-comers are believed to have priced the 20-year-old at £50m, though United are rumoured to be planning to table at most £33m for the goal-getter in order to further bolster boss Jose Mourinho’s squad and guarantee the club’s longevity moving forward.
