Thika United eyeing Ushuru FC pair

Days after retaining their Kenyan Premier League status by beating Ushuru FC 2-1 in a two-legged play-off, Thika United have began preparations for 2018 season and are now eyeing Ushuru's pair of Benson Amianda and Nelson Marosowe.

Amianda, a striker was Ushuru's top scorer in 2017 with 16 goals while Marosowe who can play both in defense and midfield positions was a key player for coach Ken Kenyatta. Thika coach Nicholas Muyoti has confirmed that his side is indeed interested in signing the duo.

-Yes we are interested in the two but we also understand other clubs want them and so we will have to move with speed nd try to get them. We also have other targets we are negotiating with and we hope to conclude our transfer business on time so that a can have ample time to prepare for the new season, he said.

The club will be keen on a strong start in 2018 after a rather underwhelming 2017 season where they battled relegation all through.
