Kenya football in mourning as Bandari TM passes on

Kenya's football fraternity is in mourning after the sudden demise of Bandari FC team manager Charles Obwoka on Wednesday 3 January night. 

The long-serving TM is reported to have collapsed in his bathroom after watching the EPL match in his house between Arsenal and Chelsea.

He was then rushed to Alfaruk Hospital with breathing challenges but he couldn't access oxygen services before being transferred to Mewa Hospital hospital but he died on arrival after attempted resuscitation failed. 

The body was taken to Jocham Mortury in Mombasa.


Surprisingly, the TM attended Bandari's first training session for 2018 at 1500Hrs earlier in the afternoon and did not give any indicator of ill health.

Following the death, the Dockers took a break from training on Thursday morning and converged at the mortuary to mourn with the family and friends.

Obwoka has served in his capacity since 2005. He leaves behind a widow and three daughters. passes heartfelt condolences to the family for this loss.
