KPL Awards: Goalkeeping duo among MVP contestants

Harambee Stars goalkeeper Patrick Matasi  and his Kariobangi counterpart Jeff Oyemba  are among the players set to contest  the  2017 KPL end of year Most valuable Awards (MVP) on January 12, 2018.

 The goalkeeping duo will battle it out against midfield duo of Michael Madoya  of Zoo Fc and Lawrence Juma now with Gor Mahia.  Meddie Kagere completes the five member MVP list.

Jockins Atudo,  Musa  Mohamed and Nicholas Mejja and Charles Momanyi have been nominated for the Defender of the year award.  Mohamed was recently crowned SJAK winner in the same category. George Owino of Mathare United will also have the chance to win the award as he has made into the shortlist. 


In the Coach of the Year Category Sammy Omollo of Posta , William Muluya of Sharks and Bernard Mwalala of Nzoia Sugar will be the contenders alongside the now free agent Mike Mururi. Sam Ssimbwa is also in contention even after picking the SJAK similar gong.

The award for the Center Referee of the Year has Raymond Onyango, Badr Yassin, Davies Omweno, Anthony Ogwayo, Caroline Kiles and Peter Waweru.
