County explains Wanga's appointment

Kakamega County Governor Wycliffe Oparanya has explained why he has appointed former Tusker FC striker Allan Wanga into his government.

Wanga will serve as Sports Director in Kakamega and the Governor believes that his football experience will help massively in tapping talent in the county.

- In appointing Allan Wanga as Director of Sports in my Administration, I expect more talents in the villages to be tapped and bring out their potential to the fore. As a County, we have produced many sports personalities in different disciplines and we are proud of that, Oparanya said in his social media post.

Wanga has appeared for AFC Leopards,  Sofapaka and now Kakamega Homeboyz in the Kenya Premier League in addition to playing abroad in Angola, Vietnam, Azerbaijan, Sudan and Tanzania. He has now landed in Kakamega signing a three-year deal, in addition to playing for the Mike Mururi coached side.:
