Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea are reportedly ready to flex their muscles in the race for Roma midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini.
English news outlet The Mirror has claimed that the English powerhouses are closely monitoring the Italian with the view of acquiring him in the ongoing transfer window in order to further bolster their midfield and provide more depth for their teams moving forward.
Pellegrini has quickly established himself as one of the most promising prospects to come out of Italy in the recent past, having quickly become a regular in the Roma squad, where the midfield maestro has gone on to score two goals and assist just as many in 10 Serie A starts this season.
Roma is currently in the process of negotiating a new contract with the 21-year-old - a development that has put potential suitors on high alert since his current deal only has a release clause of £21m, which makes the standout an irresistible option.
