Manchester United have asked West Bromwich Albion to keep them informed on Jonny Evans’ future at the club.
Evans who joined Old Trafford in 2015 for a measly £6 million, he’s ready to leave the Hawthorns this month with both Manchester City and Arsenal keen on signing him. The Baggies value Evans at around £25m and Alan Pardew knows he can reinvest in weaker areas of his side by cashing in on the Northern Ireland defender.
The 30-year-old is keen on talking to Arsenal about a move to the Emirates and he believes his chances of first team football are greater with the Gunners than under Pep Guardiola. However, United will not let Evans go to one of their rivals without a fight and have told West Brom they want to be the first to know should they agree a deal to let him go.
Evans made 198 appearances for the Red Devils, winning three league titles, two league cups and one Club World Cup title.
