Anderlecht has reportedly disclosed that midfielder Leander Dendoncker is free to leave the club for £22m this month.
Sources claim that the Belgian side has softened their previous stance of not being willing to sell the midfield maestro and are now ready to let the 22-year-old try his luck elsewhere if potential suitors meet their unusually fair valuation of the standout.
Dendoncker burst into the limelight during Anderlecht’s Europa League quarter-finals clashes with Manchester United last season and garnered the attention of boss Jose Mourinho with his undeniably high football IQ and impeccable work ethic.
This development now paves the way for United, who are in desperate need to bolster their midfield in the ongoing transfer window, to sign the workhorse for a bargain and subsequently acquire a promising player who can be a key piece in their star-studded for years to come.
