Official: Former AFC Leopards midfielder joins South African side

Former AFC Leopards attacker Allan Kateregga has joined South African side Cape Town City FC on the Bosman after the expiry of his contract with Ingwe.

The dreadlocked attacking midfielder was loaned out to KCCA by Leopards in August 2017 after falling out with coach Robert Matano and was released by the club after his contract expired in December. 

He has now moved to South Africa where he will link up with former Kariobangi Sharks forward Masoud Juma who moved to Cape Town as well. The club has expressed delight at his arrival terming it as a well needed boost in the attack.

"CTC is delighted to announce the signing of Ugandan international winger, Allan Kateregga. Kateregga joins the Citizens from Ugandan Premier League Champions KCCA FC, where he was on loan from AFC Leopards, read a statement from the club. "Kateregga gives us some more ammo in attack, while also bringing a wealth of experience in Africa ahead of our opening CAF Confed Cup campaign," read the tweet. 

Kateregga has previously featured for Tusker FC, Ushuru FC, Bidco United and Nakuru All Stars in Kenya.
