Ex-Kenya international joins NSL side
Former Kenya international Patrick Oboya has joined National Super League side Police FC after training with them for months.
Oboya had earlier told Futaa.com that he was planning to join unspecified club and his words have come to pass after penning a deal that see him link up with his brother Peter Dawo at the uniformed side.
"I will be back in January but for now, I cannot say exactly which team I will be joining, I have been training hard to keep my fitness and form to the right standard," Oboya said during the 2017 Koth Biro tournament hinting on a move to revive his career.
Kibera United’s Kevin Muturi, Metro FC’s midfielder Peter Wanyonyi and ex-Sofapaka player Dennis Mwenda are among the new signings for Police.
Oboya's club Career
He made his debut for K'Ogalo on 17 July 2013, coming off the bench to replace Paul Kiongera in the 79th minute and helped his side ensure a 2–0 league win over Chemelil Sugar at the Nyayo National Stadium. After spending a season and half with Gor Mahia, Oboya moved to Tusker making his first debut in the first match of 2015 season against Thika United.
He is also remembered for his bursting runs which made him a darling of the fans. He was also the country’s top scorer in the qualifiers to Ghana 2008, then playing for FK Banik Most, one time champion of the Czech Republic league.
