United eye Madrid trio

Manchester United is reportedly looking to land Real Madrid midfielders Isco and Marco Asensio and centre-back Raphael Varane.

Spanish news outlet Diario Gol has claimed that United boss Jose Mourinho will demand three players from Madrid should the Red Devils choose to sell £115m-rated star goalkeeper David de Gea to the Spanish giants in the summer.

The report further claims that Isco, Asensio and Varane are top of the Special One’s wish list, with the latter being the tactician’s priority since United need to bolster their defensive options moving forward in order to keep up with their peers in the ultra-competitive Premier League.

Should these speculations materialize, then United’s squad for the forthcoming season is likely to be subjected to a major shake-up to accommodate the new talents, which might see a number of their current stars either benched or offloaded.
