Brewers pick first point from Ruaraka stalemate

Visiting Posta Rangers picked up a vital on the road after forcing Tusker to a  barren draw this Sunday 11 February in Ruaraka.

The clash saw Sammy Omollo's side remain unbeaten after two games as Sam Timbe side bounced back to bury their tepid league opener a week ago.

Brewers looked hungrier side in opening exchange but were kept out by Rangers' steady rear guard.

Robert Achema had the first sight on goal but lacked the precision to trouble Patrick Matasi between the sticks.

Posta chance came midway through the half as Luke Ochieng header whistled just wide off the bar.

First half chances

Skipper-keeper Duncan Ochieng was called late in to action at the half hour mark and the veteran reacted with a solid punch to deny Rangers.

The second half proved a cagey affair as both sides went for a cautious approach.

Achema had another ambitious shot at goal that ended like his first veering over the bar.
