Mariga unused as Oviedo slip

McDonald Mariga was an unused sub in Real Oviedo's second loss in five matches suffering a 1-2 loss in Spain's Segunda Division clash on February 10th against Cadiz .

Alberto Peresa scored the first goal for Cadiz in the 73rd minute before the second was brought by Servando Sanchez ten minutes to the final whistle. Miguel Linares had put Oviedo ahead in the 55th minute but were unlucky to keep the score on their side.

Red Card

David Rocha of Oviedo was red carded in the first half and the visitors were forced to play in the entire match with ten men. Oviedo and Rayo Valeccano both have harvested 44 points though the later sits a position below due to goal difference. This shows a tight promotion race to Spain's premier league for next season. Huesca sits pretty at the top with 55 points, Cadiz is second with 47.

The next match for the Kenyan and Oviedo will be against Albacete which sits way below at 16th with thirty two points.
