Pep continued, “He is not (just doing it in) one game. It's the whole season, every three days playing that way. Every three days.”

Must win titles

The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss however insisted that the Belgium must accumulate the necessary silverware to make his case by adding, “But he (De Bruyne) knows and everyone knows, to be there you have to win titles - and titles and titles, especially one. But the way he's played it's difficult to find one (better) in Europe."

De Bruyne has quickly established himself as the driving force behind City’s stunning success this season, having scored 11 goals and spectacularly assisted another 18 for the champions-elect in all competitions this season.
