Mathare United head coach Francis Kimanzi has singled out striker Francis Omondi for praise.

The former Modern Coast Rangers forward has made quick footprint at his new club and was a pillar in the 2-1 win over Nzoia Sugar.

“That surprises a lot of us because he has the belief and we think Francis just needs good guidance. He has the capability and character to fight at the top level,” said Kimanzi.

The former national team coach also said his team's maturity is now seen but adds that there is always room for perfection.

“The boys are showing some character because it’s the second game that we worked very well. It also shows that we have some maturity and depth in the team. We can always get better,” he continued.
