Why did Arsenal reject Harry Kane?

Simple. He was a fat, unfit kid! That is why Tottenham’s Harry Kane was rejected by Arsenal.

This was revealed by former Gunners academy director Liam Brady. Brady, who spent 9 years with Arsenal as a player was hired as director of the Arsenal academy between 1996 and 2014. Kane was released by Arsenal at the age of eight.

“'Unfortunately yes. He was chubby and not very athletic, but we got it wrong. Even Tottenham loaned him out to the lower leagues three or four times though. But with his determination, he is building a great career. And he deserves it,” Brady told Corriere Della Sera.

The Hurricane is now 24 years old and has scored 101 goals for Spurs in the Premier League and his latest was the winner in the north London derby on Saturday.  Back to haunt his former owners!

What would have happened, had Arsenal been patient with the young, chubby boy? We can only imagine.
