Bandari gets a spank, Ulinzi held in midweek friendlies

National Super League side Modern Coast Rangers on Wednesday 14th February handed Bandari Youth side a 4-0 thumping during a friendly match staged at KPA Mbaraki Sports while Ulinzi Stars was held by St Joseph Youth to a one-all draw at Afraha. 

Athman Bori hit a brace for Rangers as Mwichande Mwinyi and new signing Nahashon Kyongo scored a goal a piece. According to Rangers Club Secretary Ferdinand Ogot the match served as the clubs build up ahead of the upcoming FKF NSL home match against KCB scheduled for this Saturday.                        

"A nice friendly match to spice up for the season. Modern Coast play in the NSL, they are a great team with a lot of talent, we wish them well and we wish you all a goodnight!" read a post on one of their social media pages. 

Build up

Bandari Youth was using the match to gauge their squad ahead of the upcoming FKF Mombasa sub branch league 2018 season. In Nakuru, it was a 1-1 draw in the friendly between Ulinzi Stars and neighbours St. Joseph Youth. 

Oscar Wamalwa got Ulinzi Stars the opener while Haron Mware leveled for the opponents to get the final score. The results prepares the Soldiers for the weekend encounter against Mathare United at home.
