Aubameyang annoyed by Europa League ruling

Alexandre Lacazette is out injured and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is basically Arsenal’s current number one striker but he can not play in the Europa League.

This is because his former club Borussia Dortmund finished third in their Champions League group and dropped down in the competition and a player, according to Europa League rules, cannot represent two different teams in the same competition.

“I am really frustrated because the rules are a bit – I don’t know how to say in English but I am disappointed because I can’t help my team. That’s life. I have to deal with it. I can’t play every three days. When I was in Dortmund, I was playing every three days but now I play once a week or have a long time between games. It is not easy,” he said.

Arsenal is however doing well in the competition and they go into the second leg of their knockout tie with AC Milan 2-0 up.
