Nyirenda ropes in eight foreign based bullets for four team tournament

Zambia national team head coach Wedson Nyirenda has summoned eight foreign based players for the 4-Nations Tournament to be staged in Ndola. This is according to a list released by Football association of Zambia ( FAZ) on their official Facebook page.

Half of the foreign bunch are Europe based stars namely, Patson Daka (Red bull Salzburg), Enock Mwepu (Redbull Salzburg), Fashion Sakala (Spartak Moscow) and Emmanuel Banda (K.V Oostende).

The other four are all South African based, Orlando Pirates duo of Justin Shonga and Augustine Mulenga alongside Roderick Kabwe (Ajax Cape Town) and Salulani Phiri (Polokwane City) complete the list.

Zambia will play Zimbabwe Thursday, March 22 at 1:00 PM while South Africa faces Angola at 3:00 PM. Both game will take place at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.

Winners in the two matches will battle for gold while the losers will play each other on March 25 at another double header event.
