Jose Mourinho admittedly believes that his side deserved their 1-0 defeat to West Brom because they "complicated" everything during the match.
Speaking to Sky Sports at the press conference followin gthe match, the mager said, "I think we were deservedly punished. We were masters in complication, everything was complicated."
The Special One added, We didn't want [to play] or couldn't play simple, everything was slow, one more flick, trick, turn. There was no fluidity. We did not deserve to lose, but we gave them opportunity to win the match."

Mourinho further conceded that their comeback 3-2 victory over newly-crowned champions Manchester City was partly responsible for their undoing by adding, " won eight titles and I am not [over] the moon because I won against Manchester City."
The tactician concluded, "I saw lots of people [over] the moon because we won against City. You could see the difference in the attitude to players compared to last week. We deserve to be punished, but the defeat was too heavy."
240 - Manchester City's 240 day total at the top of the league in 2017-18 is just one day fewer than Manchester United have spent at the top of the Premier League (in season) since Sergio Aguero's goal won the title in May 2012 (241). Noisy.— OptaJoe (@OptaJoe) April 15, 2018
United now face a tough challenge from Liverpool and Tottenham for second place as the Red Devils are only a point ahead of the former. The English giants, however, have a game at hand against Jurgen Klopp's side.
