Chemelil interim boss delights in maiden win

Chemelil Sugar head coach Charles Odero is happy with his team's 3-1 win over Wazito FC on Sunday 15th April at the Chemelil Sports Complex.

Odera began his managerial career with a vital win over Frank Ouna's side. Odera took over last week after Patrick Odhiambo's resignation. Until his appointment, Odera served as Odhiambo's assistant.

Speaking after the match, Odera hailed his players for the good show that ended their winless run. He also thanked other members of the technical bench for the support they are giving him.

First win

"It was my first time as head coach and I must thank God for everything. I also want to thank players for the win,  even though things aren't working out financially and my players have accepted the situation and showed great character during the match.  I also want to thank other technical bench officials for the support they are according me, as a young coach you need maximum support to succeed," he said.

Chemelil next plays Sofapaka on Saturday 21st April at home.
