Nzoia Sugar crossing fingers for injured defender

Nzoia Sugar assistant coach Vincent Sifuma, is hoping that Victor Omondi’s injury is nothing serious after the attacker was forced off in the 75th minute, during the league match against Bandari FC on Sunday 15th April in Bungoma.

Omondi, who recently returned to the side after months in the cold scored the all-important goal in the first half to help Nzoia condemn the Dockers to a 0-1 defeat and in the process maintained its fine run in the Kenyan Premier League.

Sifuma is hoping that the former Kenya U20 player isn’t  injured badly. He revealed that the youngster will undergo further tests to determine the extent of his injury.

Important Player

”We are hoping that it’s nothing serious, he had played three-quarters of the game and sometimes fatigue creeps in, the medical team will examine him and advice. He is an important player for us, today he showed that he is quality player by scoring the all-important goal for us, “he said.

Nzoia’s next assignment will be against Vihiga United at Mumias Sports Complex.
