Buoyant Harambee Starlets starts CECAFA preparations
Harambee Starlets have reported to training camp in preparation for the upcoming CECAFA Women Championships to be played in Rwanda between July 19, and July 27, 2018.
Kenya will open their campaign against Crested Cranes before a face-off with Tanzania, Ethiopia, and Rwanda in the five-nation tournament.
Neddy Atieno, Gaspo Youth’s Elizabeth Wambui, and Spedag left back Dorris Anyango are expected to join the rest in the course of the week. And coach David Ouma has revealed why some of his stars have not reported.
“Neddy (Atieno) is attending a military progression course and has opted out. Dorris (Anyango) and Elizabeth (Wambui) requested some time off due to family commitments but will be joining us in due course." Ouma told FKF portal.
“We had a good run in the (2018 Africa Cup of Nations) AFCON Qualifiers. We have just picked up from where we left. The players are in good shape both physically and mentally, and I am optimistic that we will get a positive outcome in Rwanda,” Ouma continued to say.
