11 Jul 2018, 22:35

Top Zambian referee Janny Sikazwe arrived back home to a thunderous welcome after he returned from Russia where he officiated at the ongoing FIFA World Cup.

The man from Kapiri Mposhi made history earlier on in the tournament when he became the first Zambian to officiate a World Cup match after he handled a group G encounter between Belgium and Panama before being in charge of a group H match between Japan and Poland.

Sikazwe was welcomed by FAZ General Secretary Adrian Kashala, Ministry of Education official Sombo Matende, Referees Manager Welly Chikuka and a huge number of fans led by Pastor Peter Makembo.
