Ambitious Ugandan Premier League side Onduparaka FC has confirmed a fifth signing ahead of the new season with the capture of Abel Eturude.

Eturude has been offered a three – year contract by the Caterpillars after successful negotiations that culminated in his departure from SC Villa, where he had been playing and his contract had elapsed.

The player, who hails from the Onduparaka locality, admitted in an interview prior to his unveiling that choosing to feature for his home team was a very welcome move.

With the move sealed he is looking to play his heart out for the side.

Wouldn't hesitate

“I wouldn’t hesitate if Onduparaka came for me because my contract with Villa is done.

“Onduparaka is where home is and home is home so it would really be with pride for me, playing for Onduparaka. The difference is that in other clubs you can play for the money but when it comes to home, you play for the people, your people and you play because your heart is where you are playing,” he said as posted on the club website.
