Tottenham Hotspur winger Son Heung-min has signed a new five-year contract.

The South Korean, who joined the north London side from Bayer Leverkusen in 2015 is penned a new deal which will keep him at the club until the end of the 2022/23 season. The 26-year-old has steadily taken on a more prominent role under boss Mauricio Pochettino, making 37 appearances in the Premier League last season where he started 27 matches.

Son became the top Asian goalscorer in Premier League history with the winner against Crystal Palace last November, surpassing the tally of 19 set by former Manchester United man Park Ji-sung.

He joins Kane and Pochettino in agreeing on fresh terms at Spurs since last season. Pochettino signed a five-year contract in May, while Kane's new six-year deal was confirmed last month.
