Chelsea has officially unveiled Mateo Kovacic after signing him on loan from Real Madrid.

The Croat arrives at Stamford Bridge on a season-long loan and is hoping his teammates and coach Maurizio Sarri will help him settle fast. He has described the move as an amazing feeling.

"I am really happy and excited to be here at Chelsea. It is an amazing feeling. I will try to do my best for this club. It is a new league for me, the beginning is always tough but I am sure the coach and my new team-mates will help me and I am looking forward to a great season." Kovacic said after his confirmation at Stamford Bridge.

Marina Granovskaia, the club's Director, has said that the 24-year old midfielder is a perfect signing for the new season under a new coach.

Perfect fit

"We are very happy to welcome Mateo to the Chelsea family. He is a perfect fit for us this season, his style is well suited to how Maurizio wants to play and we are sure he will prove to be a valuable asset to the club."  Granovskaia said.

Kovacic has 46 international appearances after making his debut in 2013. He started every game during the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
