Villa tax Ssimbwa’s URA in FUFA Super 8

Uganda Revenue Authority FC is out of the FUFA Super 8 cup after falling 1-0 to a new-look SC Villa at the Mandela national stadium, Namboole.

Former striker Abdularahman Ajab returned to haunt the tax collectors with an early goal in the 17th minute.

The jogoos join Nyamityobora and KCCA FC in the semi-finals. The win also guarantees an extra 1.5 million shillings in cash prizes.

Onduparaka will play Ndejje University away on Saturday in the last match of the quarterfinals.

Mass recruitment

The match was largely dominated by new faces as both sides are still in the race to recruit players for the coming season after recording mass exodus.
