Iheanacho hopes to score against Man United in EPL opener
Leicester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho is hoping to score against Manchester United should he get Claude Puel's faith to start.
The Nigerian scored a total of eight goals last season but all came after Puel took over from Craig Shakespear. Iheanacho hopes to get his scoring touch as early as at Old Trafford especially after having a remarkable pre-season tour. He was always an impact substitute for Manchester City during his time at Etihad and averaged a goal in every 106 minutes.
“If I am chosen for the game against United I have to keep my goal-scoring record and work hard for the team. Leicester would like to be part of it and am looking forward to it. I think it is going to be a big season for the whole team and we are in good shape now The World Cup helped we didn’t get to go through but it was a good experience and good fitness," said Iheanacho.
The 2015 league champions visit Old Trafford on Friday in a very first match of the 2018/19 season.
