Kamau: We need to be dominant with our play
The National Super League (NSL) is at a crucial stage, with most teams in the division having 10 games left to play before the conclusion of the campaign.
In light of this, John Kamau, head coach of KCB has called on his team to be dominant with their style of play if they are to secure passage to the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) at the end of it all.
The Bankers have spent three years in the second tier since succumbing to the drop at the end of the 2015 KPL campaign. The team has agonizingly come close to returning back to the top tier in the last two seasons, falling short in the latter rounds of matches.
It is this situation that has Kamau calling for full concentration from his charges who have once again placed themselves in the running for promotion as they sit in the play-off place in third with 47 points heading to the next round of matches.
“We need to be dominant with our style of play,” Kamau said, “Work on our strengths and we will be good to go. There are still a couple of matches to go and as a team we are taking in one game at a time.”
KCB will next take on relegation threatened GFE 105 at Sudi Stadium in Bungoma on Saturday 11 August starting 1500hrs.
