Liverpool has appointed former Manchester United goalkeeping coach Jack Robinson.

Robinson is credited to have helped United's Edwin Van Der Ser and  David De Gea before joining the FA where he coached the U15s and U 17s. He was also part of the U17 squad that won the World Cup in 2017.

Robinson will work together with John Achterberg who sanctioned his appointment by the Anfield hierarchy. Achterberg will continue coaching first choice goalkeepers Simeon Mignolet and Alisson Becker while Robinson will oversee the development of Kamil Grabara and Caoimhin Kelleher.

The appointment comes just after the appointment of Thomas Gronnemark as a throw-ins coach a decision that was mocked by Andy Gray.

Gray said: "I know how you can take advantage of a situation, throw it to one of your own players.”
