Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho at a press conference in the build-up to Watford’s clash on Saturday provided an injury update on Marouane Fellaini, Ander Herrera, Diogo Dalot and Marcos Rojo.
New summer signing Diogo Dalot from Porto is yet to feature for the club after undergoing surgery soon after joining United. Marcos Rojo picked up an injury while on pre-season tour with United in the USA while Fellaini and Herrera picked up injuries in training.
The Portuguese manager confirmed that Ander Herrera is out while Fellaini is a doubt for the important Watford clash, “Fellaini is a doubt. Ander Herrera is out. He had one little problem in one medical in training during the week, so he is also a doubt.”
The gaffer confirmed that Dalot and Rojo might be available for contention next week should they go through their reserved game unscathed, “Diogo Dalot and Rojo play tonight with under-23s and if they play 90 mins like we expect, it will be the end of their recovery process and we will consider them ready to be back next week for full competition.”
