The newly instituted normalization committee of the GFA has granted permission for the return leg of the Golden Clash between AshantiGold Sporting Club and Asante Kotoko to come off on Sunday.
The second leg of the clash was initially scheduled to come off last Sunday but because of the sudden resignation of Kotoko's coach, it had to be rescheduled to Sunday 23rd September 2018.
The match will be played at the Obuasi Len Clay Park after the Normalization Committee gave the green light for it to come on.
AshantiGold SC will be going into the second leg poised to redeem themselves from their surprising 3:2 defeat in the first leg which saw Sogne Yacouba hit a brace to bring the porcupine warriors from one goal behind at the Baba Yara sports stadium.
Following the postponement, organizers wrote to seek approval from the FIFA inducted normalization committee.
“We refer to your letter dated September 18, 2018, contents of which are well noted.
The Normalization Committee is pleased to inform you that, permission has been granted AshantiGold SC and Asante Kotoko SC to honor this match on Sunday, 23rd September 2018 at the Len Clay Stadium.
We wish to convey our good wishes to the two clubs” the release stated.
Ashgold will be hoping to redeem their image after losing the first by 3-2.
