Harambee Starlets forward joins Israel top-flight side
Harambee Starlets forward Esse Akida has joined Israel’s top flight club Hapoel Morasha Ramat HaSharon.
Akida confirmed the development via her twitter account where she said that is a dream come true for her. It is understood the former Thika Queens star has penned a two-year deal with the Israelis. Akida joined Thika Queens from Spedag FC last June. He has fifteen goals in 36 appearances for the national women team.
Akida has been on trials with her new club for a fortnight ago. Akida will don Jersey number 14 the same as the one she has been donning for national duties.
"Congrats to Esse Akinda for landing a contract with Ramat Hasharon FC in Israel. We wish her all the best in her new club." Thika Queens said in their congratulatory message to Akida.
