Scholes slams Jose Mourinho after United win
Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has hit out at Jose Mourinho following his celebration after the Red Devils beat Juventus 2-1 on Wednesday night.
United came from behind to register an away win and after the game, Mourinho's celebrations angered a number of Juventus' players including Leonardo Bonucci and Paulo Dybala. The duo approached Mou before he was ushered down the tunnel. Scholes, who has been criticizing Mourinho in recent matches was far from being impressed after the Special One ran on the pitch at full time cupping his ear to the home support.
Speaking to BT Sport, Scholes said, "This is everywhere he goes. You need to win with a bit of class. Shake the manager's hand, go over and clap your fans. I don't think there's any need for it but that's the way he is."
However, Mourinho explained to reporters after the game the reason behind his celebration.
"I didn’t offend anyone at the end. I just made a gesture that I wanted to hear them louder. I probably shouldn’t have done it, and with a cool head I wouldn’t have done it, but with my family insulted, including my Inter family, I reacted like this."
