Nigeria’s Victor Moses Suffers Huge Blow at Chelsea
Former Super Eagles player Victor Moses has experienced another setback for his Chelsea future after coach Maurizio Sarri left him out of his rotated squad for the Europa League clash against BATE Borisov on Thursday night.
In what is a rotated selection to give a chance to struggling squad players, Moses has not been included in the traveling group to Belarus.
“So Victor Moses hasn’t even traveled with Chelsea for tomorrow’s game, seems like his Chelsea career is quickly coming to an end,” tweeted a popular Chelsea fan and Journalist Alex Goldberg.
Moses, who recently called time on his international career with Nigeria, was given a glimmer of hope when he made an appearance against Liverpool in September but was dropped from the 18-man squads that were picked for the following four games.
Coach Sarri was also recently asked to comment on Moses and fellow struggling English player Danny Drinkwater whose futures look dim.
“Moses is more suitable for playing wing-back than like a winger or a full-back, I think. I don’t know. They have to improve but their characteristics are a little bit different,” Sarri said.
