Al Ahly Coach Carteron Reveals Aim for CAF Final
CAF Champions League finalist and Al Ahly coach Patrice Carteron has said his team has addressed its problems ahead of facing ES Tunis on Friday, adding that the Red Devils are concentrated on claiming the trophy.
The Egyptians are without their key striker Walid Azaru who is suspended after being found guilty of unsporting behaviour in the first leg and will also miss the injured veteran defender Ahmed Fathi.
But the eight-time champions take a two-goal advantage to Tunisia after ensuring a 3-1 win in Alexandria last week.
“We’re well prepared for the game and focused on snatching the cup in Tunisia,” Carteron told Egyptian media.
“We have the needed solutions to compensate for the absences we’re currently facing. For example, Mohamed Hany can replace injured Ahmed Fathi.”
The Frenchman went on to conclude his briefing by encouraging the club’s supporters and expressed his single-mindedness to win.
“I would like to thank fans traveling to Tunisia to support us. I am honored to be leading Al Ahly and winning the title is the only thing I am thinking about right now,” Carteron concluded.
