Man United trio praised by Jose Mourinho after Arsenal draw

After twice coming from behind to salvage a point, Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has lauded the efforts of Anthony Martial, Jesse Lingard and Marcus Rashford for their spirited performance in the 2-2 draw against Arsenal on Wednesday 5th December.

Martial struck at the half-hour mark to level proceeding for United after Shkodran Mustafi’s bullet header somehow escaped David De Gea in goal. Lingard was also on the scoresheet as his immediate response ensured Jose Mourinho’s men walked away with a point. Rashford was given the license to roam the forward line rather than stick at a single position.

Mourinho lauded his front three for their performance in the thrilling stalemate, “They played well. They gave good dynamic, good intensity, good movement, and we need that, we needed that happiness.

“Especially in moments where we are not very happy with the result we need happiness on the pitch, we need people that gives that good feeling and the three young guys up front, all of them quite light, but alive, agile, creative, they were good.”
