Arsenal defender Shkodran Mustafi has revealed that the team needs to be a bit more clever after Manchester United scored the equalizer in the 2-2 draw on Wednesday 5th December.
Mustafi opened the scoring for Arsenal in the 26th minute when his header escaped the grip of David De Gea on goal but it was soon canceled out by Anthony Martial four minutes later. Marcos Rojo then turned the ball into his own net but their lead was again cut shot seconds later when Jesse Lingard pounced on a sloppy back pass by Sead Kolasinac to the score.
The German defender noted that Arsenal need to be a bit more clever and avoid conceding immediately after scoring, “Second half the game opened up a little bit and both teams were trying to win. At the end of the day we did quite well and we tried everything to take the three points home. I think we have to be a bit more clever and sensitive of danger not to concede the second one. We took four points from two really difficult games and I think we can move on from that.
