The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially confirmed the disqualification of Sierra Leone from the AFCON 2019 Qualifiers.

In a correspondence to federations that have teams in Group F of the qualifiers (Kenya, Ethiopia, Ghana, Sierra Leone), CAF also confirmed that despite the group now having just three teams, the top two teams will qualify for the tournament.  Speculation was rife that only one would qualify.
