BREAKING: Manchester City midfielder out for three weeks

11 Dec 2018, 16:20

Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola has confirmed midfielder David Silva will be out for three weeks with a muscular injury.

Guardiola has confirmed City has only 15 fit players available for Wednesday's Champions League clash with Hoffenheim. Silva is the latest addition to an injury list that already includes Sergio Aguero, Kevin De Bryune, Benjamin Mendy and Claudio Bravo.

"We have 15 players available, so I can’t do it too much (rotating). We are in the next stage which is important but we have to try and win every game to finish first," said Guardiola.

Full-back Danilo is also sidelined but Aguero, who has missed the last three games with a groin problem, could return to face Everton at the weekend.
